Send texts by voice
Compose and send iMessages or SMS naturally. "Text Mum I'll be home by 6." "Send a message to my partner: can you grab milk on the way home?" The Thing handles contacts, composition, and delivery seamlessly.
Read and catch up
Stay on top of your conversations without looking at your screen. "Read my latest messages." "Anything new from Alex?" The Thing reads your messages aloud and gives you the important context.
Contextual replies
Reply in context without needing to see the thread. "Reply with thumbs up." "Tell them I'm on my way." The Thing keeps track of the conversation so your replies make sense.
Smart notifications
The Thing can filter and prioritise your messages. Important contacts get read aloud immediately, while group chats and less urgent messages are summarised when you're ready. Signal above the noise.
How it works.
Say "text" or "send a message" followed by the contact and your message.
The Thing sends via iMessage or SMS through the native Messages app.
Incoming messages are read aloud and can be replied to entirely by voice.
Privacy & Security.
Your messages never leave your device.
Messages are accessed through iOS APIs. Content is processed locally and never uploaded to external servers.
iMessage encryption is preserved end-to-end. The Thing reads messages on-device only.
Messaging permissions follow iOS standards and can be managed in Settings.
No message content is used for training, profiling, or any purpose beyond your immediate interaction.
